Principal’s Message

“All  I want is an education,  and I am afraid of no one”. This very version of confident Malala Yousafzai itself expounds the utility, relevance and magnitude of education. Incepted way back in  2002  at  Hetampur Rajbati, Dubrajpur in the District of Birbhum, (W.B) DAV Public School has been striving to instil the confidence that the learners extract from education. Here we believe in the axiom, “ The main objective  of teaching is not to give explanations, but to knock at the doors of the mind.”  The system of imparting education in DAV itself corroborate with this philosophy of Tagore.  A plethora of activities and a gamut of interactive programmes throughout the year encourage the young learners to open up their minds and contribute to the development of their career as well as the wellbeing of the society. Here, young learners are steered to develop into personal communication and leadership skill in order to help them choose their life path.  A school runs successfully, as we believe, with the stronghold of three-way communication: School-Student-Parent. As an educational institution under DAV, it is of prime importance that the school and the parents collate forces to engage and maximize the contribution of the youth to ensure that with the foundation of Vedic Values and possessing a modern outlook they develop as a worthy citizen of global India. My humble message for the budding tomorrows, Dream and don’t let the sleep perch on your eye-lid until one is realized. Being a third generation teacher my suggestion to the growing tomorrows, “Be a teacher; be an example; usher a change in the society. You are the Davidians. You are taught Vedic Values even beyond academics. You are not soluble in unvedic water. Believe it, Teachers are the richest community in the society who are blessed and bestowed with the resources to change society. The resources are the students. Each one Change one. Please !”

Long live DAV fraternity! Long live Vedic Values!
